Flues in Voids recently completed work involving inspection hatches to comply with the new Gas Safety regulations at a tenanted flat I own. This was a particularly difficult exercise for a ground floor flat involving flues traveling to the top of a building involving the two flats above plus a loft space.

Despite traveling from Berkshire to the midlands (Nuneaton) the work was carried out on time, for a reasonable price, with a minimum of disruption.

The neighbors were amazed at the insistence of the (very personable) team to hoover up afterwards. Furthermore the expected work schedule was revised on the day due to incorrect information supplied by the managing agents.

I would recommend passing this information to any other members having problems with the new Gas Flue Regulations.”

I had contacted 2 Gas Safe engineers who came had a look and said they could not do anything and did not know who I could refer to. They knew about the change in regulations but not what work to actually do fitting the hatches.

After searching the Internet I came across the flues in voids website.

My wife was worried about dust mess but there was nothing. Vacuum and cleaning up was carried out as they went along. The hatches were in with no need for any extra decorating.
